32 bit floating audio in FCP 5
Hello,
I’m in the process of converting a lot of AVI footage from flip cameras for web content on a reality show. I’m using Isquint to convert the footage from AVI to MPEG4 but when I bring the footage into Final Cut 5.1.4, I’m having to render the audio. The clips are reading “32 bit floating integer” but the sequence presets only have 16 and 24 bit as options. I had read that FCP automatically defaults to 32 bit. Not sure i understand that as there are options in the presets. Anyway, anyone have any clue on a way that i don’t have to render my audio? The sample rates are definitely matching up. I actually exported some at 44 and some at 48 to see if that would make a difference. Isquint can’t change the depth and FCP doesn’t seem to like the 32 bit floating.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
