Over the holidays we are having an intern come in for a few days and capture footage into the machine.

When he came in today and booted up the montitors immediately went into “power save” (ie not getting a signal). Also even weirder the keyboard and mouse are not working.

I am 1,200 miles away and trying to walk him through the problems. We’ve established that the monitors are fine (pluged them into another machine), made sure connections are good, rebooted, to no avail. I was the last one working on this machine and It was working absolutely great. No one has even been in the office since.

I am flumoxed. As I said it was working flawlessly the last time it was used. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

I’ll do my best on system specs since I am not there.

Make sure the brightness buttons on the keyboard are turned all the way up…

If that doesn’t help, then try booting in “safe” mode… boot it up holding down the shift key.
