  AE render to uncompressed 10bit Kona codec

  Hi there,

  I would like to render After FX animations to the 10bit uncompressed Kona codec. However I can’t find that codec in the AE render settings. Is it possible to render in this codec, or should I use the uncompressed (none) setting for quicktime (it seems this is rgb)?

  AJA on the mac uses the default 10bit UC codec from apple,

  if you are talking about the AJA RGB codecs

  Hi Frans,
  If you are talking about the 10b RGB, think that if you bring any thing and render in FC, will be crunched to 8b RGB.

  Hi,

  thanks for the quick responses. I use the 10 bit Uncompressed codec in FCP. I rendered a couple of animations in AE in QT uncompressed (none) format, and once imported in FCP it looks like FCP sees them as RGB.

  Hi Frans,
  The Apple 8/10b Uncompress codecs are YUV while the NONE is a 8b RGB.
