  FCP 6 HD capture for FCE 4

  Does anyone know what the best HD capture setting would be to capture from FCP 6.0.5 to Final Cut Express 4? A client needs some DVCPro HD tapes “digitized at the best for HD delivery” but doesn’t know exactly what they need. I’ve never worked with FCE 4 and don’t know the specs.

  Final Cut Express does not work with DVCPRO HD. DV, HDV only. So you cannot capture DVCPRO HD tapes for them to work with on FCE. They will show up black.

  The client will need to buy FCP.

  Thanks Shane. What if I capture it at 720p60 with the Apple Intermediate Codec?
