  Quicktime quality

  When I Export with “Quicktime Movie” using current settings, the quality of my project is less than what I am seeing in the canvas. The resultant quicktime file is about 5 gig for my 30 minute project. I don’t believe there is any compression with this export option, so what would cause the degradation?

  Usually caused by not properly viewing the QT. Be sure you have “high quality” enabled in the user prefs for QT.

  Also in the Quicktime general preferences, you can enable FINAL CUT PRO COLOR COMPATIBILITY.
