  lighter outfilm then my monitor view in FCP

  Hi.

  I’m editing in 720P 25 in XDcam EX.
  My output is a Quicktime 720P 25 in Prores.
  Now, my outputfilm is much lighter then my edit view monitor

  What’s the reason, does somebody know this issue?

  As viewed in FCP or in Quicktime Player? The gamma handling can be different depending on the app. In the Quicktime Player’s preferences window under the General tab you can choose to Enable Final Cut Studio color compatibility.

  Better to use an External Video Monitor and NEVER your computer monitor.

  Yes, your right.
  What monitor you advise.
  I have to buy one, but I don’t know witch one.
  Panasonic, JVC or Datavideo.
  It must be a good color reference monitor.
