I recently shot footage in squeeze mode on my dvx100b (for the first time), but when I try to log it in fcp 6 the frame appears larger than it did in my camera’s viewfinder. A lot of my shots were tight and now I can see unwanted footage in the frame. Do I have the wrong settings for the log window? Or would it seem that my viewfinder mislead to me as to the entirety of the frame I was actually recording? If the case is the latter, are there any solutions in fcp 6 to retrieve the original framing I saw in the viewfinder while recording (e.g. cropping)?

    Assistance is much appreciated!

I think you forgot to check Anamorphic in your capture preset.
Just import the clips in FC and check the Anamorphic column in the Browser.
    Cheers,
