• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  P2 Import

  Sorry for this. I did some searching on the forum and am coming up short of an answer.

  I did a shoot with the HPX-500. The DIT copied all the files to hard drives with three redundant back ups. He maintained all the file structures.

  When I go to log and transfer, I can see the the files, I can navigate to the Video folder and I can see the .MFX files. BUT they are grayed out. Do I need a driver with Final Cut 6? I can’t find a definitive answer through Google, though I see plenty of tutorials.

  If I do need a driver, can someone post a link? I’m on an 8-Core Mac with OS X 10.5.5.

  I’m confused. If you see the files in the log and transfer window, why do you have to navigate anywhere? Use the log and transfer window to ingest your media as described in the manual. What happens when you do that?

  I see the files but they are grayed out so I can’t select them.

  You don’t select the individual files. In the log and transfer area, click on the folder icon in the upper left the navigate to the contents folder. Then hit open. You don’t select the files.

  Click on my head at the top and look for my P2 tutorial.
