    Hi,

Just need to know if I’m missing anything.

When I grade a clip in FCP (3 way color) and then send it to Motion for some comp work
and then goes back to FCP the grade is not there.

Is that the way it just works?

    Thanks for any help.
    Danny.

Yes, that is how it works.

Therefore you have better do the Motion work first, and do the color stuff in the end.

You have it described in the manual, all the FCP things Motion doesn´t keep.

Many of us get around this by exporting the clip to which effects have been applied as a self-contained movie. Take that into Motion.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
