Problems with sequence footage
Hi guys,
I have a problem, when I put footage onto the timeline it’s smaller than it’s supposed to be. It’s about quarter of the size and is surrounded with black, I can stretch the image but it will take me ages to change the sizes and render the footage out.
Any answers?

We have a problem helping you Andy, because you have given us exactly zero information about the video you’re trying to edit, the settings on the timeline, or the version of FCP you’re using.
This is a business that demands precision, there’s no guesswork involved. FCP won’t function properly if you’re not precise, and we can’t offer the help you need if you’re not precise.

Francis, if people would just state the facts right out of the gate, we’d have many fewer wasted posts. Trust me, for those of us who spend a lot of time answering people’s questions it’s very time-consuming to have to ask for the basics.

Hi David, sorry for the rant, I had a very stressful day yesturday, sorry I took it out on you, please for give me.
I’ve had a look at my settings and they are:
Version 5
Footage is 16:9
Sequence DV PAL anamorphic
Timeline anamorphic.(Hope these are ok)
Everythinglooks normal except from the fact that when I put footage onto the timeline it a lot smaller than the original and is in the middle. I could just resize the frame but it would take a while.

Where did this footage come from? How did it get into your computer? Check item properties for the clips and for the sequence. Please give full and exact information for both.
