  ipod casuse FCP to crash

  I have my iPod connected via firewire 800 to my intel mac so that I can listen to music while I color correct, etc. Sometimes when I click play in iTunes to play a song from my iPod Final Cut crashes. Is this normal? I would think that neither one of these programs would affect one another. Does anyone have a definitive answer as to what is going on here or is there a solution to the problem?

  If you’re running your media drives via firewire also, that could be it. There’s only one firewire bus for all devices to share unless you have an additional firewire card.
