    Hey there,

Have a simple problem that someone may be able to help with:

I use two (computer) monitors and an video monitor to edit with FCP. Thing is, when I open the Trim Window it always opens 3/4’s on my main monitor and about a 1/4 on the second one.

Sounds fickle (I know) but it annoys me that every time I open it, I have to do the extra task of moving it to one monitor or the other (otherwise one of the two Trim window displays is cut in half). Seems like an unnecessary task to have to perform (like all the time) especially as the Trim window is only one screen in width.

Anyone know how to make it open up on just one monitor? I don’t care which – just one or the other 🙂

    Thanks in advance,

    ALEX

Set your workspace to standard and see if that fixes it.

Sounds like your Viewer is a different size to the Canvas.

The Trim Edit window makes both viewers match the current size of the Canvas and it opens from the top left of where the Viewer window is on your screen. So if your Canvas window is bigger than the Viewer window, it will probably go between the two screens.
