    Hi CC World,

I got some footage today to edit. There is a silly timebreak in the middle of it. Is there a way to just override FCP not wanting to pickup the footage?

I de-selected Abort on dropped Frames, and have “Make New Clip” on the Timecode break options…

FCP , doesn’t seem to be playing nice though. The importing video window, just stays black and says “CUEING TAPE” in its grey status bar area.

Should I just let FCP tyr to work this out? I have read on some strings, it will, it just takes a while.

I have limited access to other equipment, so dubbing the tape is not an option?

Any ideas? I just need the video. ITs less then 7 mins total and there is a stupid timecode break at the 5th minute or something. So it starts back up at 00:00:00:00… UGH.

Any ideas, I just need to override the timecode settings and capture everything…

    G5, with FCP6, Canon XHA1, with a HDV miniDV…

    Nevermind. Got it.

Changed the name of the importName, restarted the computer, faked FCP out to think it was a new tape.

    Tricky, tricky tricky.

Dub the area of the footage with the break to another tape and capture that section from the second tape.
