Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Undo – no do

  • Posted by Jimi Lund on October 30, 2008 at 2:21 pm

I’ve been having an issue where I try and undo something and instead FCP will do something random, like delete a clip I worked on a few moves before.
I tried quitting FCP and restarting my Mac, just in case it was…well i’m not sure what I thought it was but it didn’t solve the issue.

My gut instinct is that I may need to trash my preferences, which i’ve never had to do before but I was just wondering if anyone had experienced this joy of mine before?

Your instince to Trash Prefs is probably a good one. And, for the record, FCP’s Undo is not by any means the best implementation of Undo in the business. It’s there thankfully, but it does have a rather strange “hit or miss” capacity at times.

Ok, cheers. That’s interesting to know.

It seems to be working ok now, after having the night to recover from it’s labours, so perhaps it’s not the preferences after all.
