Plug-in info?
So this is a hugeeeeeee long shot.
I get alot of random newsletters on editing and the overall industry. So I skim them, delete, and get back to work (could easily spend hours looking at them).
So one day, I read this newsletter, it linked me to an interesting story. That story linked me to an interesting product. And then I think it further linked me to a few more interesting products. Needless to say, they weren’t interesting at the time, but as Murphy’s Law dictates, they are suddenly something I need, but I completely forgot how I found them.
The 3 product descriptions are:
1) The only one I know: GridIron Flow. Amazing, I know this one.
2) A REALLY fancy app to manage FCP Preferences. Way beyond the simplier one that people usually refer to. Had workstation management, multiple user profiles, all these weird and crazy features.
3) An application that acts as ‘plug-in’ to Final Cut Pro. It is very useful for importing and converting random audio files into a FCP friendly format (e.g. MP3 -> 48 khz WAV). When you open FCP, the application also automatically opens as a mini-tab on the side. You just drop the miscellaneous audio file onto this tiny tab, it auto converts in the background, and then puts the new file into a pre-designated folder. So I discovered all these 3 apps 1-2 days ago. Through a random newsletter. Not really sure what the exact chain of events was that led me to discovering this treasure trove. I’ve been digging through my trash, but I delete 20+ newsletters per day :S. Anyone maybe actually USE such applications?
