    hey there,
I’m working on a 2d animation feature film that is destined for television and now we want it printed to film as well for a cinema release.
it is made in flash animation and photoshop layers.
the compositing and mastering is done in AE7.
40 min of the film has already been done in HD 8-bit workspace (1920/1080 square), and rendered to PNG sequences.

    the question is this:
can i keep working in 8-bit, render it to PNG (or TGA) and only in the end, take these rendered sequences and make DPX / Cineon files out of them?

(I’m not worried about the 8-bit quality, we did a screen test on an HD projector in a cinema and it looks fantastic!)

    thanks alot,

    Manchook
