  FCP keyboard problem

  I recently upgraded to a Mac Pro and got one of the new slimline keyboards. I loved it – until I realized that my FCP shortcuts overwrite and insert don’t work. I’m familiar with the OS conflicts and already changed those settings, which disabled the OS functions, but the FCP shortcuts still don’t work. Anyone had any experience with this problem on those keyboards? Thanks!

  I don’t have one, but I imagine it’s like a laptop with all the function keys.

  GO to the system preferences > Keyboard and Mouse and check the box that says “Use all F1, F2 keys as standard function keys”

  Then go to System Preferences > Expose and Spaces and turn off or change any shortcuts the conflict with FCP.

  Thanks for the help – I had done step 2 but not step 1!
