  Frame size changes after capture

  I am trying to capture some dv footage except I want to make the frame size 320×240 rather then 720×480. I have to compress after capture to an MPEG-1 file with this frame size so I thought that if I capture at this size it will save me some compression time.

  I change my frame size in my capture settings and when I digitize, the window is smaller and it looks like it’s bringing in the footage at the correct size. However, after it’s digitized, if I look at the clip in the browser or clip info, the frame size is back to 720×480.

  Anyone know why this is happening? What can I do to bring in footage at the frame size I want, not the frame size that is standard for the codec?

  Capture as OFFLINE RT. That is 320×240.
