  FCP settings for 24 fps stop motion animato

  I am working on a stop motion animation feature intended for theatrical distribution, on FCP, and frankly I can’t decide what settings to use. we are shooting single frames at 24 fps !:85 I’ve almost decided on DVCPRO HD 720p 24 but I understand that DVC PRO 24 actually runs at 23.98.
  I Need a setting that I can use from storyboard (thats where we are now) to finish (or is that asking to much? ) advise please… thank you in advance

  More importantly, how are you thinking about handling the image sequences?

  You can conform image sequences or their subsequent QT movies to playback @ 23.976 from 24.0.

  Yeah thats a good point, Thanks for the reply I’ve been advised by a final cut pro wizard to use DVCPRO HD 720p 60 @23.98 but our sound designer and technical guy say 24fps …. should I use dvcpro or one of the apple ProRes setting, I’m new to FCP and the settings are confusing

  Well, how are you planning on mastering and monitoring? Are you planning to go to film first or are you palnning on going to video for film festival submissions?
