I have this mac … Intel Core 2 Duo T8300processor (2.4GHz, 800MHZ frontside bus) ;2GB of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM;160GB 5400rpm built-in hard disk drive;8x DVD Superdrive (DVD burning capable) ;13.3″ glossy widescreen display (1280×800 native);Intel Extreme Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100;OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
I have this camera … sony hdr-hc1e handycam.
I want to capture and edit hd video.
About 4 years ago I purchased Final cut express 2.
What version of final cut should I buy and is there an upgrade price available from the version of final cut that I have?

You can find this on the Apple web site. I believe the upgrade to the current version of FCE is $99.

FCS 2 won’t run well on the OP’s machine… FCS 4 is a better solution I’d think.

keep in mind that that is the upgrade price to the new final express, there is no up grade from any version of final cut express to final cut pro if that is what you are looking for

there is no FCS 4 and if you ment FCP 4 that will not run on an intel mac.
I agree that FCE is the best option where he has a MacBook
