  Edited in the wrong sequence setting

  I am editing my first job in 16-9 anamorphic. I captured the footage correctly then edited the entire project in the wrong sequence setting. Obviously the project doesnt look right on a 16-9 TV set. It is letterboxed and looks even worse on a 4/3 TV set.

  I need the shape of the video to be 16-9 and not letterboxed. I tried changing the sequence settings and it kept getting smaller. Anything I can do without re editing the project? My client is upset and I charged them extra to shoot in the HDV format. They wanted the video to fit their tv screen properly.

  If not can this be fixed in compressor? I really appreciate any help from the community.

  Open a new sequence, set the proper sequence settings before adding anything to the timeline. Now, cut and paste everything from the other timeline into this one.

  Now, if everythng looks stretched or distorted, highlight everything on the timeline, now right click and choose remove attributes, and check Distort then click on OK. That will do it…
