• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  New Monitor

  Hi all,

  I’m in need of a screen upgrade and was wondering what you guys think I should buy/how much I should spend. I’m using a brand new MacPro and editing HDV footage (XD CAM within a year or two). I’ve been looking at a 23″ apple but it just feels like I’m paying for very old tech. On the other hand, is the La Cie 324 really worth all the extra money? I’m not someone who is going to be very into grading anytime soon but will need to be making adjustments. Decisions, decisions!

  Any thoughts, as always, very appreciated.

  Several of us have Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFPs, 2.3 the price of the Apple monitor and much newer technology. I have two myself. I think they are worth every penny. While calibrating them to match a broadcast video monitor is not the easiest thing in te world, once you get it close they are great.
