    Hi All:
I have a client that did a rough cut of a project in I-movie and now wants it finished in Final Cut Pro. Has anyone done this process? If so how is this accomplished and what are the possible pitfalls?
    Thanks for your thoughts.

Well.. you can open an iMovie project in FInal Cut Express

    Then open that in FCP

But no timecode comes across… all effects are renderred… etc.

    Pretty much a dead end….

I’d use it as a gide and redigitize

    What version of iMovie?

iMovie 08 will let you export a XML.

In my short experience is better to avoid the way iMovie to FC.
As Richard points you will be working without TC and you may find yourself having big problems.
