  • Audio filter makes clip crackle / distort

    Hi all,

I have a problem when adding an audio filter to a sound clip.

I am adding AU pitch to a clip to make someone’s voice sound lower.

The clip is clean and sounds fine without the filter. I have rendered it fully and cannot work out why this is happening.

    Does anyone have any thoughts?

    Many thanks,

    Neil

I am having the same problem and also need a solution. I have too many clips with too many pitch changes to send them all out to Soundtrack Pro. My audio also has a speed adjustment.

Is the Apple AUPitch the only pitch filter for FCP?

I asked about this topic on the Apple forum as well.

Best I can tell it is a bug, changing the Overlap can help, but best bet is to go to Soundtrack Pro.
