Is it possible to dub cards from EX 1 onto a PC laptop then transfer those files to a MAC-based FCP system?

Also, a friend said it was possible to dub files onto your MAC and then import through the FCP import function. But, when we ran a test, loading the transfer software into FCP, Sony’s import software was not part of the import choices. Why was it not there? Do you recommend just dumping the folders onto the desktop and then using this import function?

    Thank you.

yep, but be sure to save it all ie the full contents of the card, directory structure and all

you need to download and install the Sony plugin for Apple’s Log and Transfer

No. The XDCAM Transfer app offers functionality and integration far superior to that offered by the Sony plugin to Apple Log and Transfer
