  Beach Ball Bringing New Footage into Timeline

  Hi All,
  2 of the editors here recently have started to notice that when putting new footage into the timeline they have to wait about 30-40 seconds while the footage, well…loads. It could just be drawing out the waveforms but before their was no lag at all.

  Any suggestions?

  This is with both NTSC D1 29.97 and 1080p 23.98 material.
