I have a project that was shot on a Panasonic DVX and although it wasn’t shot in HD I am using Final Cut Pro HD as the editing machine. I am getting ready to export the final project and burn it to DVD using IDVD. I was wondering which codec will give me the highest quality resolution on the DVD. Is it Animiation, None, Sorenson 3 or DVCPRO HD 1080i60 (even though I didn’t shoot it in HD). Any assistance would be great.

Unless you have added many effects, graphics etc, export with the same codec of your sequence.
In other case set your sequence codec to something less compressed. If you have shoot DV, set your sequence to DVCPro50 for example.
    Cheers,
    Rafael

Export to QuickTime Movie at current settings. If the material is anamorphic you’ll have to adjust it before importing to iDVD.
