Posted by Accountclosedduetonorealnameused on May 16, 2007 at 4:58 pmis there a very comprehensive list of new features, or perhaps a very detailed review of AE8?
Puppet tool is great, whopee, but I am hoping to learn of the little refinements that do not make the headlines.
thx

May 16, 2007 at 5:50 pmHey, Timothy 🙂
Regarding new features: you can have the brief version, or the deep thing.
For the very short version, you can download the release notes document for public preview, available in the AE CS3 page on Adobe Labs. For the really deep version, there’s the AE help document 🙂
There’s even a “live”, web-based version which can be commented/extended by users:
https://livedocs.adobe.com/en_US/AfterEffects/8.0/index.htmlWhat I’m trying to do in the Labs forum (and here too when possible) is to introduce some of the new features (especially the not-so-obvious ones) in a more “subjective” way, sort of speak. In other words, try to weight the importance of the different new things, see what creative challenges they address, etc.

May 16, 2007 at 6:27 pmCheck out the forums for AE CS3 on labs.adobe.com. Adolfo Rozenfeld, one of our fellow bovines in the Cow herd, is the moderator there and has been doing a great job of pointing out all the changes and improvements in CS3, both big and small.

May 17, 2007 at 9:31 amHi Adolfo,
I just had a look at that Labs link..the links from that to the video tutorials in AECS3 seem to go to videos for Acrobat instead – I can’t seem to find any AE videos in the Design Center site…Any ideas?
Thanks.
