    Has this happened to you?

I have two or three layers of video in FCP 6. I make some adjustments, effects, move the layers around, and then sometimes when I render and play back it will make a “freezeframe” in one of the shots that carries through another two or three shots in the sequence. It seems the render froze or it’s having some problem although the audio comes through fine. The timeline shows that no render is needed and it would let me anyways. Sometimes I have been able to fix this by moving the clips away and then back in place so that the “render needed” bar in the timeline lights up and then I render and it’s okay. But lately, this won’t fix it either. The same freezframe shows up like a ghost. I’m trying to finish so I can submit to Sundance on Wed and this little bugger is killing me. Any suggestions? Can I force a render even when it doesn’t require one? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Hi Oscar,
Working with few layers you may have RT preview, but always needs render.
If you want render things that have RT prew, select and ALT-R will force the rendering.
