  Conform/interpret framerate in FCP?

  Hey guys!

  I shoot a lot of extreme sports video at 50p with the PMW-EX1. I do this because then I get overcrank AND sound. The problem is I have to duplicate the file and go to cinematools to conform it to 25p stretching it to the double.

  Is there a way to just flag the file as 25p in final cut?
  Been looking for an answer for a long time!

  In premiere you can just right click on the file and say “interpret footage” and set 25 frames. The sound is stretched but that’s not a big hassle..

  Yes. It’s not possible.. Talked to all the plugin makers at IBC last year. You can use Motion to do it but it’s a bit of a hassle.

  hoping this will be adressed when FCP7 arrives at WWDC09

  Is the an option to “interpret footage” on FCP 6, like there is in Adobe Premier?

  Have 7D footage at 50p.
