[Q] Best Quicktime codec for DVD
Hi Creative cows,
I am submitting my 44 minute movie for a film festival on a DVD. I am using Final Cut pro 5.0.4 for the entire time line. The current footage is all in 10-bit uncompressed PAL footage. What would be the best codec to output for encoding in a iDVD or DVD Studio Pro project? I have been using Quicktime conversion option H.264 Best, but I understand the H.264 is more suited for web and computer monitors. My Best H.264 outputs as 4.4 GB
Should I be using compressor or MPEG-2 in Quicktime conversion? My limitation is obviously limited to a DVD capacity.
My project is on a powerbook g4 with 2gb of RAM, but I can switch rendering too a Macbook pro with 4Gb.
Thanks in advance
