  Need Help! Can’t Import HDV to AE7

  Hi All, When ever I attempt to import HDV footage from my JVC I get the following message,
  “After Effect error: an unspecified AVI or Directshow error occurred (53::33)” the last program I installed was GridIron Nucleous software.

  To all who may be concern, Power DVD was the culprit, It was not allowing AE to import mpegs clip for some reason it was using some of the compression AE was using, so I deleted Power DVD now all is well.
