    Hey,

I’ve been working on a project in AE. It doesn’t have too many assets in it, but I’ve put a lot of work into what I had.

Everything was goin smoothly, until suddenly I was unable to save my project anymore. It was definately not a storage space issue. I tried to ‘Save As’ a new project name, but that didn’t work either. I had to force a close of AE without saving, and now when I try to open my project, I get the error message:

After Effects warning: Unable to import file ‘(Project name).aep’ as project.

I’ve also tried opening an earier ‘save as’ of the same project without success. However, other project files will open without any issues.

    I am running AE7.0

Please help me recover this project!

    Thanks,

    Skeets

I’m starting to think it could be a problem with the harddrive its saved on.. I tried opening my PPro project, and it failed to open too…

Well, this has just been me, posting for you, a conversation between me and myself… looks like together we’ve determined that there has been some sorta glitch in my ext. hard drive.

I restarted my computer, and things are pretty close to where they should be.

My files work, and I hardly lost any work done. And I’ve realized that its probably a good idea to move or at least back up this project onto another drive!

Thanks for reading (whoever u are)

Auto-Save can also get you out of trouble sometimes.
