  • edit to tape window: assemble edit overlay greyed out

hello, I have FCS2 installed on a newer intel mac with a AJA IOla connected to it and a Betacam SX deck connected to the component out of the IOla. This setup was working fine for a few days. I would use the edit to tape window, set my in point at 1:00:00;00, have a tape in the deck that was striped starting at 58:30:00;00. I had the timecode button turned off and the video and audio buttons turned on. I would then drag my sequence from the browser to the ETT window and select the insert edit overlay. I would notice that the assemble edit overlay would highlight if i rolled overtop of it when dragging the sequence, same with the preview overlay. Recently I have noticed that the only overlay that will highlight is the insert edit. the other two are “greyed out”. Also sometimes the insert edit will fail with and error saying that it could not find the timecode. I have restriped the tape using FCP. That doesn’t seem to help. Some times if I close and open the ETT window that fixes the problem. Or if I restart the computer. Has anyone seen this before?
