Is the max used memory for fcp 2 gb?

I’m running 6.0.4 with kona 3’s at 5.1 all on an xsan.

I’ve noticed some performance issues just all around slightly slower with 10.5.4 with fcp. I’ve check everything and read a lot of articles, but i’m still probably missing something.

I’m running 4x pro G5’s w 4gb of ram. Will 2 or 4 more gb or ram help?

I just read an article that says FCP cannot address more than 2Gb. You can check the FCP system prefs to see how much of 2Gb FCP is assigned.

and for Motion, Photoshop, Soundtrack Pro or any other applications you may want to run concurrently with FCP. I run 4Gb on my Dual 2.0 G-5 with no problems.
