Does anyone know the correct workflow for digitizing HDCAM 1080 24psf from a SONY J-H3 deck using a BLACKMAGIC card. The deck is set up correctly, but I can’t seem to get my FCP setting right. I have tried a few different capture settings and the video seems to be sped up, but the audio is in real-time. If I use the 24psf DVCPRO setting things work out ok, but I would prefer to have full resolution video.

Any suggestions? Is there a master website for CAPTURE WORKFLOWS for HD? That would be so helpful with all the different formats out there!

Blackmagic software comes with 1080PsF Easy Setups for all codecs. I’m looking at them right now. “Blackmagic HDTV 1080PsF 23.98 – Apple ProRes (HQ)” – that’s the one you should use.

yeah, that was the first one I tried , but I was getting sync issues when bringing it I’m to final cut. I just used the dvcpro setting since this will never be a full resolution master. Thanks for the help though.
