    Hi all.

I have a problem and no clue on how to solve it. Hope anyone can help me.

I took some footage with a crappy digital camera, the Nikon Coolpix L1, and imported it into fcp. While the clips’ quality suck by themselves, they get much worse (blurry and wash out) when I move them from the viewer into the canvas. I tried to correct this by changing the sequence settings, adjusting the integer, and applying different filters, but nothing has work so far. Also, when I put some text into the canvas it also becomes blurry. I’ve been reading a lot about this on the forums but couldn’t find a good answer. Can anyone please help me? I know the footage is not the best, but I know I’m doing something wrong and I’d very much like to learn how to correct them.

Here you can check two clips I edited with that material:

    Thanks for your time!

    Cheers,

    Ricardo

cant get the links to work.
    I’ll take a guess.

    What size are the pictures?
FCP will sometimes give less than stellar results when the pictures are too big.
