  Field choice when deinterlacing

  I have DV CAM (PAL) footage which has a lower field dominance. When deinterlacing, do I have to put the field to lower (even) or upper? because it automatically chooses upper when I apply the filter. When it is selected as lower, it is much sharper, but wasn’t sure whether this just cancels the deinterlacing effect

  It doesn’t matter, just pick which filed you want repeated.
