  FCP HDV Capture

  Hi,

  My name is Joe Vallero and I am working on a Mac Book Pro 10.4.11, 1.83 GHZ Intel and 1 GB of RAM, I have a ATY Radeon X1600 Graphics Card and I am capturing from a Sony HVR M10U, from 24p footage shot on a Sony HVR V1U and FCP 5.1.4.

  I think that is all the pertinent information.

  The Problem?

  I can’t capture. It recognizes the deck, but FCP doesn’t see any footage to be captured. I have tried all the various HDV presets and I have tried the Apple Intermediate selections and none have worked. If I go to DVNTSC then everything works fine but obviously I then have footage that is far more compressed than I would like.

  Any ideas?
