  HDCAM play out query

  I am getting ready to playout a HD project onto Sony HDW M2000P HDCAM deck. My material was captured via a Blackmagic Multibridge Pro and I am working in ‘Blackmagic HDTV 1080i 50′ settings. My problem is on the deck the system frequency indicator shows only ’25PsF’ when both playing 1080i tapes and when I am trying to layback onto it or black a tape. I would imagine at least when playing 1080i tapes that it would switch to indicate this.

  Can someone please help me reset the deck away from progressive? Should have paid my dues in the machine room I know…

  Adam,

  I have used that machine with the Decklink HD Pro, but I own an HDW 1800. You will need to plug the super output into a monitor, and use the setup menu to change the deck to 50i. You will also need to make sure the deck is set to lock to input not ref unless you have everything locked up to an HD reference like tri level.

  Thanks. It is much clearer on the monitor than on the deck’s own panel. Settings are within Basic Menu 013 should anyone need it.
