• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  10.5.4? 7.5?

  Hi,
  Working with AppleCare on kernel panics and shutdowns by my Octocore, I was advised to do a full zero-out of my hard drive. What a pain. Anyway, I’m just starting to rebuild it now and I’m wary of installing the latest OS 10.5.4 just because I’m wary of all OS upgrades. I was running fine on 10.5.2 and can re-install that. Does anyone here have good experience running FCP 6.0.3 on 10.5.4?

  While we’re at it, I was also running QuickTime 7.4.5 quite well. Any words on advice on how well the newer 7.5 is working?

  This is just one guy of course, but I’m running 10.5.4, FCP 6.0.4, QT 7.5
  and all is well for the last week or so. I was between projects so backed up
  and then did all the updates.

  Mac Pro 3 ghtz 8 core, 8 GB mem.
  8 TB Sonnet RAID.
  KONA 3 5.1 drivers.
  Panny 1400
  Digibeta A500

  OSX 10.5.4 And QT 7.5 with a Kona 3 5.1.1 NDD driver and no problems on an Octo.
