  • Proper settings in Vue 6 for AE 7?

Posted by Uwe Lansing on May 3, 2007 at 4:35 pm

    Hi,

I made an animated character in Poser => imported it in Vue 6. Made a landscape with some objects in Vue 6.

My problem is now to get the right render settings in vue for final compositing in AE 7 (with each single object as a layer).

In the serttings under “Render what?” I enabled G-Buffer + Multi-Pass => under “Render Destination” => render to disk => psd. But after this I get an error-message, that this is a wrong format.

Is there anyone, who has experience with the workflow between Vue + AE and can tell me the right way for rendering?

    regards
    Uwe

You might get better responses in a Vue 6 forum. I’ve deceived myself into thinking I am fairly hip but I’ve never heard of Vue 6; what is it?

    > In the serttings under “Render what?” I enabled G-Buffer + Multi-Pass => under “Render Destination” => render to disk => psd< These sound like compression settings to create MPEG2. all you need is the PSD or a TIFF out of this Vue 6 thing of yours. Never heard of a multipass PSD export. bogiesan This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
