    Hey Everyone,

I’m working on a project that is shooting in about a week – there will be a model who has tattoo’s all over her body – the idea is to shoot her from various angles and in post make the image black and white, and have her tattoo’s reveal themselves in color – there will be little to no movement of the model but there will be camera movement (push-ins, pans etc…) on some shots.

Being that I will be there on set for the shoot, do any of you have any tips for production so it’s easier to get rid of the tattoo’s in post?

Thanks in advance, I’m sure you guys can help!

I’d say Filmstrip to Photoshop and paint them on and then use channel dissolves on it…

It’s kinda hard to do what you want? Are you going for the Sin City effect? or what Dave said, where the tattoos closely fade on the body?

If its just the sin city effect… then in AE go to EFFECTS > LEAVE COLOR

in FINAL CUT PRO > EFFECTS > COLOR CORRECTOR (1 way) and then isolate the color
