  Cant hear audio from captured footgae

  I am working with the latest version of FCP. I’m using a
  camera as a deck to view and log and capture and in fact we can only hear
  audio from the deck when we view, not the computer.

  When we capture I still cannot hear any audio and when I scroll across on
  the browser in FCP under audio it says 44.1 Khz and audio format says
  16-bit integer.

  When we playback the captured footage still could not hear audio.

  thoughts?

  Your FCP manual has a wonderful diagram that explains how to connect your DV camera to your FCP system so that you can monitor your work on a video monitor & speakers. There are also instructions there to tell you how to set FCP to play out through the camera.
