  XDCAM Workflow using FCP

  So I just finished directing a live event that they recorded standard def on XDCAM decks, Im in LA and Im still looking to do post on the line cut in FCP…newest version of FCP/QT/OSX/Kona3……this was recorded as standard def……what kind of workflow should we be using in FCP…..sorry if this is vague, I havnt been able to look at the discs yet to see the actually setting of the files….thks.

  if you’ve not already done so, download and install the XDCAM Transfer app from Sony’s website
  open it up and and set the Preferences > Import tab >> Import Location to your Media Drive
  use XDCAM Transfer to log and/or transfer your media to your Media Drive (as QT mov’s)

  thats pretty much it, other than the above its like any other project.
