This is a newbie question, I think. My audio isn’t playing back despite the fact that I switched the A/V settings from the external device back to “built-in” audio.

I don’t have ITunes or other programs running right now that would have turned it off. So…

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

You have headphones or speakers then connected to the internal audio output? and you don’t hear anything? do you see the audio meters jumping during playback?

If the audio meters are not moving, check to see if you inadvertently muted your tracks.

the bars(to the side in FCP) are moving. Music doesn’t play back in Quicktime either. I’m normally a PC person and know this may be a system thing. Where/how do I find it?

    Thanks!

OMG, I’m an idiot. The tech guy at our office plugged the speakers in while I was out. They have a power switch. Consider the matter resolved. Sorry for bothering you guys.

    Thanks for the help!!!
