  Title Graphic Question

  Is there a way to create a graphic like this one directly in Final Cut Express?

  Hi Michael,
  I’ve never used FC Express, so I don’t know if you can do this or not. If you can work with layers, I guess yes. This “Lower Third” is something very basic.
  You should ask in the FC Express Forum.

  If you have Live Type with your version of FCE, you can do it.

  The lower third fades to transparent, so you would need to use a travel matte effect. Use a ramp (gradient) as the matte.
