Keylight – Black Shirt Black Outline
Doing a Keylight shot.
Green Screen shot on HDV and this goes into a D1 project.
Talent wears a BLACK shirt. Cannot be changed due to corporate id.
The key iteself looks great except I’m getting a pretty harsh black outline on the edge just between the shirt and background elements. Hair looks gook, hands look good all other edges look good.
Am I doing something fundamentally wrong or is it just that Keylight has an issue with deep blacks being keyed?

Have you tried to mess around with your clip white and black values found under screen matter? also have you tried to use a simple choker to cut down some of those harsh values?

Yeah. It doesn’t seem to matter.
If I shrink or choke the matte it just gets smaller, but the edge keeps the same “super black” outline of the black shirt.

Like I said, hair looks fine, shirt, not so much.

can you post the before?
looks to me that its in the edge correction or spill suppresion where its overcompensating and making the image black.
