  • How to write DPX files from AE?

I thought AE could render out DPX files – but now that I need to use it I don’t see that as an output format.

Under the Cineon dialog box there’s a checkbox for dpx, but the files it will write are still .cin files – anyone know what that checkbox does?

Is there a way to write out DPX files? Or do I need something like GlueTools?

You can just change the extension to DPX after rendering or in the render queue itself. If you need to copy header info from an original DPX you would need to use a program like Shake.
    Good Luck
