When wanting to apply the exact same transition ie-15 frame dissolve on say track 2 which
is directly above track 1, I always used to just hold down the “option key”, click on the
actual transition and “drag and drop” it on the end of the new clip above on track 2 (gave a
+ sign as I began to copy it.) Now it seems 99 times out of 100 I can’t. A little “x” shows up next to my arrow as I try and copy this transition up to the next clip. This used to be a “great time-saver” but now seems like it doesn’t work at all. Is this a bug in FCP updates?

Dual 3.0 Intel, 2gig Ram, FCP 6.0.2, 2.5 terabyte Caldigit
    Thanks,

this is not a bug, but 99% of the time this shows up, the clips do not have enough handles on the end. you need to trim the clip so that there is enough footage to complete the transition.

I am experiencing the same issue today. The clips have plenty of handles. This happened just after upgrading to 6.0.3
